Assistive/Adaptive Typing, Reading & Screen Touch technology

The Touch Window is ideal for students who have trouble manipulating the mouse. It is especially effective with preschoolers and early learners, and is also recommended for students with developmental or physical disabilities.

Dragon speech recognition software has gained broad acceptance as a cost-effective accessibility tool for students with physical disabilities. In computer labs and classrooms across the country, speech recognition software is increasingly becoming a productivity tool for students of all abilities.

I really enjoy these because you can just touch the computer screen to open programs and there is no worry about having to use a mouse, double clicking, small buttons or using the wheel. It allows the child you are working with more more opening interact with the computer and with some programs makes learning more fun. This along with the Speech Recognition program makes it so your students wouldn't have to ever worry about small buttons such as typing or mouse control. Touch to click and speak to type! I have worked with both programs in a preschool environment and know first hand how children love using these programs. It  makes it so little fingers don't have to worry about typing, hitting the wrong keys, and getting frustrated. This is especially useful for children with disabilities!
